据香港虚拟银行WeLab Bank行政总裁李家达透露，香港保监局正考虑更名“虚拟保险”，若虚拟银行和虚拟保险一同以同一逻辑改名，相信能进一步起协同作用。李家达称，“数字”能更精准地突出以科技提供数字化金融服务的核心特质，清晰地界定了这类银行的服务模式和特性，“持牌”则突显受法例监管，有助加强客户对本地虚拟银行的信心，有利虚拟银行吸纳新客户和持续发展。
