On May 21st, according to CoinDesk, three sources said that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has asked exchanges to accelerate the update of the 19B-4 document on the spot Ethereum ETF, indicating that they may approve the applications before this Thursday. But this does not mean that the Ethereum ETF will be approved. Potential issuers also need to obtain the approval of the S-1 application before the products can start trading. A person familiar with the matter said that it may take an uncertain period of time for the SEC to approve the S-1 document, as there is no deadline for this.
