Crypto scam BitConnect founder John Bigatton pleaded guilty in Australia and faces sentencing on July 5

On May 20, John Bigatton, founder of BitConnect, a crypto scam involving over $2 billion, pleaded guilty to criminal charges in Australia. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) investigation was assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The FBI is also involved in the investigation of BitConnect founder Satish Kumbhani, who was indicted in the Southern District of California. Bigatton faces sentencing on July 5 this year.
