On May 18, the Fantom Foundation announced the details of its plans for a new blockchain network, the Sonic Network. Sonic will be a new Layer1 blockchain and lead to Ethereum through a native cross-chain bridge. According to the results of the governance vote, existing FTM token holders will be able to migrate to Sonic's native token S at the time of Sonic's creation at a 1:1 ratio.
