Since 2023, crypto industry donors have donated $94 million to federal political committees, surpassing the $83 million from the last election cycle, in support of their allies in Congress. According to OpenSecrets, the largest political donors in the United States include multiple crypto industry supporters. For example, Jeffrey Yass of Susquehanna International Group has donated $70 million, and Fairshake and its two associated super PACs (Defend American Jobs and Protect Progress) raised a total of $85 million. Notably, Bloomberg's report adjusted Fairshake's fundraising totals to remove in-kind donations in cryptocurrency and the double-counting component of their conversion to dollars.
