The Dow rose above 40,000 mark, continuing to hit a new intraday high

The Dow Jones Industries Average Index topped the 40,000 mark for the first time. Walmart general merchandise (WMT. N) rose nearly 7 percent to lead the gains, with Boeing (BA. N) up 3.3 percent, Intel (INTC. O) up 1.1 percent, Disney (DIS. N) up 0.7 percent and Apple (AAPL. O) up 0.4 percent.
