On May 16th, South Korean crypto trading platform Upbit issued a document saying that the platform has confirmed that the Stacks (STX) managed by the dApp have been transferred to hackers due to the theft of the private key of Alex Labs. Therefore, users are advised to pay attention to the possibility of increased volatility in the price of STX. Since then, STX has fallen by more than 6% in 15 minutes and has now recovered, with a tentative price of $2.06.
Earlier, it was reported that the Bitcoin DEFI tool ALEX Lab confirmed that the attack lost 4.30 million dollars, and the official said that the attacker's identity has been confirmed. An update has since been released saying that its liquidity pool was taken over by hackers, and the pool contains about 13.70 million STX, of which about 3 million were sent to various CEX, and the number is increasing. Some of the stolen funds have been identified and are being recovered from a CEX platform.
