The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) once again reiterated that ETH and several other cryptocurrencies are commodities in the tug of war for regulatory authority over the expanding digital asset industry. The derivatives regulatory agency stated on Tuesday in a legal complaint against the Kucoin operator of the cryptocurrency exchange that Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin are commodities, according to a press release. The statement by CFTC marks one of the latest attempts by regulatory authorities to establish the native token of Ethereum blockchain as a commodity within their regulatory scope.
