Salim Ramji, who will succeed Tim Buckley as chief executive of Vanguard on July 8, said Vanguard would not launch its own bitcoin spot exchange-traded fund (ETF). He believes the company should be consistent in its stance and product offerings. Ramji did not comment on the company's decision not to offer customers trading rights. Before that, he ran BlackRock's global iShares business, which drove the company's decision to launch a bitcoin ETF, and left in January.
