Filecoin Foundation Launches Metropolis, a Temperature Check and Crowdsourced Voting Tool

On May 14th, the Filecoin Foundation announced the launch of Metropolis, a temperature checking and crowdsourced voting tool to enhance the governance of the Filecoin network, which was developed in partnership with Canvas Technologies. Through Metropolis, community members can express their overall feelings about the proposal using either "positive" or "negative" descriptors, making it easier to share their views on Filecoin Improvement Proposals (FIPs). The goal is to provide temperature checking so that FIP authors and core developers can learn earlier about the community's overall preferences for certain proposals, which will help governance administrators lead more accurately based on the resources needed for proposals and ideas. Metropolis can also be used to support the conduct of community crowdsourced polls.
