BlackRock is on the verge of becoming the world's largest Bitcoin fund, with its spot Bitcoin ETF having acquired $16.70 billion in assets since its launch four months ago, trailing just under $1 billion behind market leader grey release (Grayscale), which has a 10-year and $28 billion lead. BlackRock chief operating officer Rob Goldstein revealed that entering the Bitcoin market has been a multi-year, very thoughtful journey designed to bring BlackRock's institutional quality into the ecosystem.
According to the official data of Grey Release, as of May 13, GBTC's holdings were approximately 289,348.7762 BTC, while BlackRock IBIT's holdings as of May 10 were approximately 274,755.1419 BTC, with a gap of approximately 14,593.6343 BTC.
