According to a statement issued by the Swiss Canton of Zug, it announced that it will provide 39.35 million Swiss francs within five years for the establishment of a blockchain research institute. It is reported that this joint project between the University of Lucerne and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts aims to make Zug an international center for blockchain research. The current Zug Canton Council has approved the funding proposal.
