On December 22nd, a member of the HyperLiquid team issued a clarification statement on the Discord channel about "the community's discovery of a HyperLiquid team address that is short on HYPE". The team said, "This address belongs to a former employee who was fired in Quarter 1 in 2024. This individual is no longer affiliated with HyperLiquid Labs and his actions do not represent the standards or values of our team."
