The Department of Justice has released two more batches of court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, including parts of the grand jury trial and judicial documents from past cases against him and his co-defendant, Ghislaine Maxwell. At least 550 pages of the documents released this time have been completely blacked out and cannot be read. One set of three consecutive documents totaling 255 pages was completely obscured, and another 119 pages labeled "New York Grand Jury" was also completely blacked out. In addition, at least 180 pages appeared in the "partially readable and partially obscured" file. While the newly released material contains photographs of prominent people associated with Epstein, images of his home interiors and records of investigations involving allegations of serious sexual assault, the extensive redactions have sparked complaints, and the Department of Justice has responded by saying that the handling was in accordance with procedural and legal requirements.
