In the context of the recent decline in bitcoin prices, Citigroup's forecast for bitcoin's price over the next 12 months is $143,000, an increase of about 62% from the current price of $88,000. Citi analysts Alex Saunders, Dirk Willer and Vinh Vo said in a joint report: "We predict that the penetration of digital assets will increase, driven by the possible introduction of digital asset-related legislation in the second quarter of the United States, and the active user value of bitcoin in the new year may be around $80,000 to $90,000."
Analysts point out that $70,000 is the key support level, and the price could rise sharply due to the recovery of ETF demand and optimistic market expectations. But there is also a pessimistic side, in the context of the global economic recession, the bitcoin price may fall to $78,500; and in the optimistic case, the bitcoin price may rise to $189,000 due to increased investor demand.
