The three Lido DAO Ecosystem Foundations (Lido Labs Foundation, Lido Ecosystem Foundation, Lido Alliance BORG) have jointly submitted a 2026 Ecosystem Grant Request (EGG) to implement the 2026 Strategic Plan GOOSE-3. The total grant request is $60 million, of which $43.80 million is the base expenditure ($26.90 million for the core maintenance and operation of the agreement, and $16.90 million for the growth plan), with a discretionary spending cap of $16.20 million for the growth component.
The growth plan funds will be used to support four strategic goals: expanding the staking ecosystem, ensuring protocol resilience (Lido core upgrade), expanding new DAO revenue streams (LidoEarn), and exploring vertical scaling and real-world business applications. Previously, Lido's new proposal "GOOSE-3" proposed to expand the business to a broader DeFi portfolio, and proposed four strategic goals for 2026.
