On December 18th, Caroline Ellison, former CEO of Alameda Research, was transferred from prison to an open correctional facility.
Ellison was sentenced to two years in prison in November 2024 for defrauding FTX investors, but only served 11 months before being transferred in October 2025. She remains in custody and is either in home confinement or in a rehabilitation facility.
Under the latest arrangement, Ellison is now scheduled to be released in February 2026, nine months earlier than his original sentence. (Business Insider)
