Bitfinex parent company and El Salvador policy partnerships to develop cryptocurrency-related laws, regulations and guidelines

The parent company of the Bitfinex exchange, iFinex, has announced a cooperation agreement with the government of El Salvador to assist El Salvador in developing cryptocurrency-related laws, regulations, and guidelines. iFinex is also responsible for advising the government of El Salvador on the issuance and facilitation of digital asset transactions, including the issuance of "volcanic bonds" (digital bonds backed by bitcoin), with the aim of building an energy infrastructure for bitcoin mining.
