Goldman Sachs restructures some of its technology investment banking units to focus on AI infrastructure

On December 17th, according to foreign media reports, Goldman Sachs is restructuring some of its technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) investment banking business units to better grasp the opportunities of the rapid development of the artificial intelligence industry and its supporting infrastructure. According to an internal memo, Yasmine Coupal and Jason Tofsky will jointly lead a newly formed "Global Infrastructure Technology" section, which will be integrated from the original telecom and CoreTech teams. Kyle Jessen will become the head of infrastructure technology mergers and acquisitions and will continue to be responsible for the semiconductor business. Another new section is "Global Internet and Media". A Goldman Sachs spokesperson has confirmed the authenticity of the memo.
