According to CoinDesk, crypto infrastructure firm StraitX announced on Tuesday that it plans to launch the Singapore dollar stablecoin XSGD and the US dollar stablecoin XUSD on the Solana blockchain in early 2026. The move will enable the instant exchange of the two currencies on Solana, facilitating digital foreign exchange trading.
For Solana, this is the first Singapore dollar stablecoin and will further expand its role as a global payments chain. Solana already has a $15.70 billion stablecoin, but has been lacking a Singapore dollar option.
