Ripple has announced that it will expand its dollar stablecoin RLUSD to the Ethereum Layer 2 network, including Optimism, Coinbase's Base, Kraken's Ink, and Uniswap's Unichain.
The company said it is currently in a testing phase and expects a wider rollout next year after receiving regulatory approval from the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS). The expansion uses Wormhole's native token transfer (NTT) standard to enable RLUSD to move natively between chains without packaging or synthetic assets.
