HSBC: Dollar weakness is expected to continue until 2026

"Our baseline view is that the dollar is expected to weaken broadly by the end of the year and into 2026," said Paul Mackel, global head of FX research at HSBC. With key US labour market data due on Tuesday, the US overnight index swap curve could require very strong data to dispel expectations of a US Federal Reserve rate cut in 2026, pushing the dollar sharply higher.
