According to market news, Qatar's Doha Bank has successfully issued a $150 million digital bond, enabling instant settlement (T + 0) through Euroclear's distributed ledger infrastructure, which has been listed on the London Stock Exchange International Securities Market.
Standard Chartered acted as the sole global coordinator and arranger for the transaction. The offering marks the emergence of regulated DLT systems, rather than public blockchains, as the infrastructure of choice for institutional tokenised debt. Euroclear's DLT platform is specifically designed for regulated capital markets, providing controlled access, legal finality and integration with existing custody and settlement systems.
