According to police testimony in a Manhattan courtroom, when suspect Mangione was arrested at a Pennsylvania McDonald's five days after the shooting death of United Health Insurance CEO Brian Thompson last year, investigators found a note with cryptocurrency passwords in his backpack.
The photo of the note was used as evidence during the pretrial exclusion hearing in Mangione's New York murder. The center of the photo was obscured by a large black block labeled "Cryptographed - Cryptocurrency Seed Phrase."
