The group of bitcoin "accumulators" added more than 75,000 bitcoins between December 1 and December 10, according to CryptoQuant analyst DarkFrost. From December 9 to December 10 alone, 40,000 bitcoins were accumulated.
These addresses currently hold approximately 315,000 bitcoins, and this trend continues to rise. These investors continue to increase their holdings, seemingly unaffected by current market conditions or momentum.
In addition, DarkFrost summarizes the "accumulator" address characteristics as follows:
No outflows; minimum amount of bitcoins purchased in the last transaction; at least two purchase events (inflows); the address must hold a minimum total balance of bitcoins; must have been active at least once in the last 7 years; known exchanges and miner addresses have been excluded; no smart contracts.
