According to TechCrunch, World, a decentralized biometric authentication project co-founded by Sam Altman, has released the latest version of its app, introducing several new features, including end-to-end encryption chat integration and Venmo-like cryptocurrency sending and receiving capabilities.
The new version of the app is called a "super app" by the development team. The World Chat chat function uses end-to-end encryption technology, the security level is equivalent to Signal, and the user's conversation party has been verified by the World system through the color chat Toast Notification. This feature is designed to incentivize users to authenticate, allowing users to confirm the real identity of the chat object.
In terms of digital payments, the new version of the app expands the ability to send and receive cryptocurrency, allowing users to receive wages directly through a virtual bank account and deposit funds from the bank account, which can be converted into cryptocurrency. There is no need to go through World's identity verification system to use these payment functions.
