Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI announced a strategic partnership with the government of El Salvador to deploy the AI model Grok to more than 5,000 public schools across the country in the next two years, providing personalized AI learning support to more than 1 million students and thousands of teachers, creating the world's first national AI education system.
The initiative aims to tailor education to students and provide AI tutoring services that are tailored to the content of the course and to the pace and level of students. xAI and El Salvador will jointly develop safety standards, datasets and application frameworks for AI classrooms to drive global education technology innovation. Elon Musk said the collaboration will "put state-of-the-art AI directly into the hands of a whole generation of students" and reshape the future of education.
