Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino posted on the X platform that Tether has a professional internal investigation team that relies on various tools to monitor the primary market (core platform Tether) and the secondary market (blockchain and exchanges).
Since its establishment, Tether has partnered with 124 law enforcement agencies in over 40 different countries.
- Since its inception, Tether has blocked more than 1.30 billion dollars, mainly related to scams, hacks, ML. About 1.60 million dollars related to terrorist financing.
Tether has voluntarily cooperated with 198 requests from law enforcement to block wallets in the past 12 months (90 of which were with U.S. law enforcement agencies), and with 339 requests (158 with U.S. law enforcement agencies) in the past 3 years.
Tether worked with U.S. law enforcement to freeze more than $639 million.
