The U.S. trade deficit unexpectedly narrowed in September to its smallest level since mid-2020 on rising exports. The trade deficit in goods and services narrowed nearly 11 percent from the previous month to $52.80 billion, against market expectations of $63.10 billion, Commerce Department data showed on Thursday.
