According to CoinDesk, the Kingdom of Bhutan has launched a sovereign-backed gold-backed token called TER, which is issued through Glip Mindfulness City and is hosted by DK Bank.
The TER token is built on the Solana blockchain and provides international investors with a digital representation of physical gold with on-chain transparency and global transferability. The token is designed to serve as a new bridge between traditional stores of value and blockchain-based finance. Investors can directly access TER tokens through DK Bank, Bhutan's first licensed digital bank.
