Sygnum report: 87% of Asian high net worth individuals already own cryptocurrencies

According to Sygnum's Asia Pacific High Net Worth Report 2025, 60% of Asian high net worth individuals plan to increase their cryptocurrency portfolio allocations in the coming years.
The report surveyed 270 high net worth individuals with more than $1 million in investable assets in 10 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, mainly in Singapore, but also covering places such as Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea and Thailand. The survey found that 87% of Asian high net worth individuals already own cryptocurrencies, with an average allocation of about 17%. About half of the respondents have cryptocurrency allocations of more than 10%.
90% of respondents believe that digital assets are important for long-term wealth preservation and inheritance planning, rather than pure speculation. 80% of active investors hold public blockchain tokens such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. 56% of respondents said the main reason for investing in cryptocurrencies is portfolio diversification.
