State Street and Galaxy Asset Management plan to launch a tokenized liquidity fund in early 2026 that will use stablecoins to enable round-the-clock investor flows, expanding the use of public blockchains in institutional cash management.
The fund, called the State Street Galaxy Onchain Liquidity Sweep Fund (SWEEP), will accept subscriptions and redemptions of PYUSD, a stablecoin issued in PayPal, as long as the fund has available asset processing requests. Only qualified purchasers who meet established thresholds can invest in the fund. Ondo Finance has committed about $200 million as seed funding for the product. The two companies expect the SWEEP fund to be issued on the Solana blockchain at launch, followed by the addition of Stellar and Ethereum blockchains. Galaxy Asset Management plans to enable cross-chain data and asset transfer with Chainlink's tools.
