Powell: Inflation remains high

Federal Reserve Chairperson Jerome Powell said the available data showed no change in the outlook. The labour market appeared to be cooling, inflation remained elevated, consumer spending remained solid and data showed the economy was expanding at a moderate pace. Most long-term inflation expectations were in line with the 2 per cent target.
