Mr. Trump on Tuesday asked his Treasury secretary to investigate whether former President Joe Biden used autoautosignatures to sign appointments to some Democratic members of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. "I heard that these appointments were probably autosignatures, maybe all four, maybe just a few," Mr. Trump said at a rally in Pennsylvania on Tuesday. "Let's check two." He then told Scott Bessant, the Treasury secretary, who was present: "Scott, can you check it for me?" Mr. Trump has also previously questioned the validity of official documents signed by Mr. Biden using autosignatures, a mechanical device that copies his signature and has been used by presidents of both parties for decades. Last week, Trump announced that he was rescinding some of the pardons and commutations Biden signed in January, claiming that the documents were signed with an automatic signature machine - a move that legal experts said had no legal basis.
