Markets are pricing in a near 90 per cent chance of a 25 basis point cut on Wednesday. Analysts at Bank of New York Mellon said investors should watch for guidance from a split vote, noting that there may be disagreement within the committee about the level of support for expected rate cuts. In addition, the Fed will release new interest rate path forecasts, known as dot plots, as part of its quarterly Summary of Economic Projections. Analysts added that the Fed is likely to announce its readiness to provide liquidity support to money markets at the end of the year and into 2026. (Kim X)
