Barclays expects the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates by 25 basis points to a range of 3.5% -3.75% at its meeting this week, and may add hawkish language to the statement after the meeting, suggesting that the rate cut will be suspended in January next year. The bank maintained its forecast of 25 basis points each in March and June next year. It believes that the new economic forecast summary may show that the economic forecast has not changed much. The dot plot will reflect a rate cut of 25 basis points each in 2026 and 2027. The median long-term interest rate forecast is expected to remain at 3%. (Golden Ten)
