Jamie Dimon, chief executive of JPMorgan Chase, denied suspending bank services based on clients' religious beliefs or political affiliation, and said he had been pushing for more than a decade to change rules related to "account deactivation."
In an interview on Sunday on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures," Mr. Dimon said his bank had stopped serving people from all walks of life, but that political affiliation had never been a factor.
Devin Nunes, chairperson of the President's Intelligence Advisory Council and CEO of Trump Media, has accused the company of being suspended by JPMorgan Chase; in addition, as part of the investigation, special counsel Jack Smith has subpoenaed the bank records of more than 400 individuals and organizations associated with Trump, including Trump Media Group.
Jack Mallers, the chief executive of Strike, a bitcoin lightning payment company, also complained that JPMorgan Chase closed his personal account last month without explanation, raising concerns about "Operation Chokepoint 2.0."
