Responding to community queries, Kash Dhanda, chief operating officer of Jupiter Exchange, recently said the team's previous statement on social media that the Jupiter Lend vault had "zero risk of contagion" was inaccurate. Jupiter had previously advertised its lending vault as a "segregated risk" structure and claimed that trading pairs "do not cross-infect and thus eliminate any risk of contagion", which has since been removed.
Dhanda confirmed in a video released by the X platform that the vault is indeed a segregated design, but also admitted that Jupiter Lend has re-mortgaged assets. Last week, Kamino, a Solana lending platform, banned Jupiter Lend's migration tool due to concerns that the relevant risk model misled users, and its co-founder also publicly criticized Jupiter's risk statement.
