Paraguay's House of Representatives passed two resolutions on December 4, requiring government departments to submit official information on crypto mining activities in the country in order to strengthen supervision and transparency. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce needs to indicate the number of individuals and enterprises currently registered and authorized to engage in virtual asset mining, and provide relevant information.
The State Electricity Administration was required to publish information on the number of power connections specifically approved for crypto mining, who was responsible and where it was installed. Both agencies must respond within 15 days.
