Vance, the US vice-president, had earlier posted on his social media that rumours were circulating that the European Union Commission would fine X hundreds of millions of dollars for not engaging in censorship. The European Union should support free speech, not attack US companies for some rubbish. Musk then retweeted the post, saying "thank you very much".
