Crypto investor Harborne donates around $12 million to UK Reform Party

Crypto investor Christopher Harborne has donated £9 million (about $12 million) to the UK Reform Party, the largest single donation to a political party by a living person in the UK, the Electoral Commission has revealed. Harborne has invested in stablecoin issuer Tether and exchange Bitfinex, and has donated to the party (then known as the Brexit Party) in 2019. The donation makes the Reform Party the most donated British party in the third quarter of 2025. Party leader Nigel Farage has been actively courting crypto voters, accepting cryptocurrency donations and promising to build a bitcoin reserve if in power. It is worth noting that Harborne's donation is in cash rather than cryptocurrency.
