Coinbase Incubated Ethereum L2 Base Launches Solana Asset Bridge

Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 network incubated by Coinbase, has announced the official launch of a cross-chain bridge service that will support native Solana ecosystem assets and allow assets on Base to bridge to Solana. The cross-chain infrastructure is supported by Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), which aims to achieve secure interoperability between the two ecosystems.
