Ben Gagnon, chief mining officer at Bitfarms, told the recent Bitcoin Asia conference that he hoped Hong Kong would become a gateway for mainland investors to access bitcoin-related technology, which could mitigate the impact of property and stock market declines. "The optimism is that with the standards and regulations in place, Hong Kong may actually find a safer, more controlled or more secure regulated pipeline to become a bridge to the larger Bitcoin and crypto ecosystem on the Chinese mainland," Ben Gagnon added.
