The Galaxy Digital research report states that in the third quarter of this year, seven large transactions raised a total of more than $2.26 billion, accounting for 48.7% of the total venture capital investment in cryptocurrency and blockchain-related companies during the same period.
During this period, VC institutions invested $4.65 billion in crypto-focused startups and private companies through 415 deals, a 290% increase sequentially but still below 2021-2022 levels. Growth was largely driven by late-stage companies, indicating that capital continues to be concentrated in established companies rather than early-stage startups.
Although sentiment is improving and investment activity is increasing, Galaxy Digital believes that "the golden age of pre-seed cryptocurrency venture capital is over".
Galaxy: The first seven transactions accounted for nearly half of the investment activity in the third quarter, and the golden age of pre-seed investment may have ended
