Bank of America will face higher capital requirements as its systemic importance has been raised by the Financial Stability Board (FSB). The bank has been moved up to the third-highest tier on the FSB's list of globally systemically important banks (GSIBs). The additional capital buffer it faces has been raised from 1.5 per cent to 2 per cent. Deutsche Bank has been lowered by one notch to 1 per cent. Other than that, there have been no other adjustments compared to the previous year.
