Deutsche Bank Research has pointed to another strong artificial intelligence-driven rally in 2026, with the S & P 500 on track to break through the 8,000 mark by the end of next year. "Rapid investment and adoption of AI will continue to dominate sentiment," Jim Reid, global head of macro and thematic research at Deutsche Bank, said on Monday. "Given the rapid pace of technological progress, there is every reason to believe that this will translate into substantial productivity gains in the future. However, the final winner and loser will be determined by a complex game of factors, many of which may not become apparent until after 2026." Mr. Reid added: "The 8,000-point year-end target set by our US equity strategists - the most optimistic analysts on the team - is particularly noteworthy because of its strong track record in forecasting."
