CME Group's U.S. Treasury unpositioned squaring contracts hit a record high of 35 million

CME Group today announced that its highly liquid US Treasury futures and options products recorded a record high of 35,120,066 unpositioned squaring contracts (OI) on November 20. Meanwhile, CME interest rate futures and options traded 44,839,732 units on November 21, the second-highest single-day volume ever. Agha Mirza, global head of interest rates and over-the-counter (OTC) products at CME, said: "Against the backdrop of economic growth and the uncertain pace of Fed rate cuts, market participants are turning to our markets for unparalleled trading efficiency and liquidity across the yield curve."
