Opposition to JPMorgan Chase, the financial services giant, continued to rise on Sunday among supporters of the Bitcoin community and the Bitcoin treasury company Strategy, and calls for a "boycott" of JPMorgan grew louder.
The Bitcoin community's discontent stems from the news that index compiler MSCI (formerly Morgan Stanley Capital International) plans to exclude cryptocurrency treasury companies from its index components in January 2026.
Responding to calls to boycott the financial giant, Grant Cardone, a real estate investor and bitcoin proponent who disclosed the MSCI-related news in a research note by JPMorgan Chase, said: "I just transferred $20 million from Chase and filed a lawsuit against it for credit card violations."
As the online backlash intensified, Bitcoin proponent Max Keiser called for "break JPMorgan and buy Strategy and Bitcoin."
