Crypto ATM operator Crypto Dispensers is evaluating a potential $100 million offer just days after founder and CEO Firas Isa was charged by federal prosecutors with involvement in a $10 million money laundering scheme.
The company has hired consultants to conduct a "strategic review" and emphasized in its statement that its transition from a physical Bitcoin ATM to a software-first model in 2020 is in response to "fraud risk, regulatory pressure and compliance requirements." Isa has pleaded not guilty to the charges and faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted. The company has not yet responded to how the criminal charges may affect potential sale plans.
