Trump: Zelensky must agree to US-backed peace plan

President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky must agree to a U.S.-backed peace plan for Ukraine or the conflict will continue. Trump recalled his previous conversation with Zelensky in the Oval Office, saying he told the other party at that time that "you have no cards to play". He said Zelensky should have reached an agreement "a year ago, two years ago". When it came to criticism of the peace draft, Trump did not respond to specific terms, saying only that Joselensky did not accept it, "then they will continue to fight", but the current scale of casualties on both sides "is not seen since World War II".
